Hello & welcome to my site! I’m Jenny, wife to Dave and Mummy to our 2 little boys. We live in the rural Hampshire countryside, UK, in a beautiful Georgian Town, and we’re very lucky to be right in the hub of all its charm. Our life is nestled in the picturesque landscapes that define this beautiful part of the country.
As a self-employed gardener, I am out in the fresh air all day and get to explore and tend to many of the exquisite gardens throughout our town, both large and small. Each garden offers a unique glimpse into the creativity and care people invest in their green spaces, and it fuels my passion for gardening even more.

Over the years, my love of plants has grown beyond flower beds and hedgerows. It has quietly crept inside, filling every corner of my home with greenery, texture, and life. I love decorating and styling our house and am deeply passionate about transforming it into a cosy, welcoming home. This seamless blend of outdoor beauty and interior comfort is what inspired me to create Garden Nest Living…
This is a space where I can share my enthusiasm and expertise and I’m excited to offer you insights from my journey, giving helpful tips and tricks I’ve picked up along the way. If you’re interested in how these passions fuse together, keep reading as I delve into the inspirations behind Garden Nest Living.

Great story behind Garden Nest Living is both inspiring and relatable. It’s refreshing to see how a deep connection to the natural world can influence not just a profession, but an entire lifestyle. Her transition from gardening outdoors to styling interiors with natural elements feels organic and intentional — a beautiful example of how passion can evolve into something even more meaningful. The idea of creating a home that mirrors the peace of the garden is something many of us quietly crave.
What brings a sense of calm or sanctuary to your living space — and how do you bring the outdoors in?
Thank you so much—your words truly mean a lot. I’ve always felt that the peace we find in the garden can—and should—flow into our homes. It’s been a natural evolution to bring that connection indoors.
For me, calm comes from natural textures, soft light, and of course, plants. I often use cuttings from the garden—branches, herbs, or seasonal blooms—to create simple arrangements that reflect what’s happening outside. It doesn’t have to be elaborate; even a single stem in a quiet corner can bring a sense of grounding.
It’s all about creating a space that feels connected to the natural world—peaceful, personal, and alive.
I have been in the garden field myself now for a little over 30 years, and I have worked at five-star resorts and private homes. I have also worked as a nurseryman, groundsman, and an interior plant scape designer. I have seen pretty much a lot when it comes to the installation and the care of garden plants. What I love about plants is how plants can totally transform and area turning a dull area into a thing of beauty or a work of art. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience—it’s clear you’ve had an incredible journey in the world of plants and gardens! I completely agree—there’s something truly special about the way plants can transform a space, adding life, beauty, and even a sense of calm. It’s inspiring to hear from someone who’s seen so many different sides of the industry, from luxury resorts to interior plant design. I really appreciate your kind words, and I’m so glad the post resonated with you!
